Democrats across Florida have spoken and have advanced a stellar group of nominees from Governor to State House to County Commission and School Board. The primary was hard fought, and for the most part, Democrats talked about kitchen table issues and obstacles that we face as a county and state. We think Democrats and Floridians are better because of those debates. Now it is the time for us to stand in solidarity with our nominees and advance a progressive vision for Pinellas County and the State of Florida. The Pinellas County Young Democrats believe that we have an opportunity to reimagine our state in ways that can have historical and generational impacts.
We believe the candidates mentioned above can lead us forward towards a county and state that we deserve. We can make history. We can chart a new course. In a time when our state and country need forward-thinking leadership, the Pinellas County Young Democrats believe that we need to restore balance to Tallahassee. We need to send leaders to Washington DC who are willing to get work done for the people and stand up for the American values of liberty and justice, freedom and equity. We also affirm the need for progressive leaders on our School Board and County Commission who will address the problems of today and have a vision for Pinellas County’s future.
